Day 14, October 16

Well this is the last day of Sharon and Danny's stay with us at Forstburg. WE finished the stay off with a bang with a visit to the Donalda Colony. It's funny Danny had mentioned on Friday's show that no one had been to a colony - I have been trying to work this out since last weekend! But today we got 'er done and everyone at the colony was excited to see us. We went to a hockey game and some last minute places around Forestburg. WE started off the morning at the Firemen's Pancake breakfast and we had an awesome community picture, but of course one of my children deleted THAT ONE off my camera!

So in closing, CFCW wanted us to "Live with Sharon and Danny" for two weeks and that is what I did. I work full time, have 3 kids in a variety of activities, and we are harvesting, so that means supper to the field by 6:00. Doesn't leave much time for taking pictures, but we managed to see as many people in the local area as we could. I couldn't visit the city or nearby provinces and states, but we had a Big Old time right here in and around home. I also managed to get my You Tube video over 600 hits, so that was a success. The contest was a lot of fun, and you just might see Sharon and Danny with me in the future at places like Big Valley jamboree!!!!!!

See you later Sharon and Danny, It's been fun!

Day 13, October 15

Another day in the books for Sharon, Danny and I. We visited some classrooms at Forestburg School, helped make Stone Soup, and dropped by the school office. We went bowling and to a birthday party. We took some bottles to the bottle depot, visited the vet clinic and picked up pizzas for supper.

Day 11, October 13

Today did not turn out at all what I had planned for Sharon, Danny and I. We did manage a little excursion to the Seed Cleaning Plant in the morning, but Mini Slammer practice kept us at the school until 4:30. Then it was home to have supper in THE field by 5:30. We managed to get a tuna casserole out in record time. Then it was off to hockey practice in Daysland by 6:30. WHEw! And so far only one picture today. BUT THEN we went on a little tour of Daysland and stopped in at the hospital, and boy was everyone excited to see us! One patient even called in to the station to report seeing us before we even made it home. We also stopped in at the Daysland Reddi Mart and Daysland Tempo. And we also discovered that we made the local paper. WE are onthe back page of this wee's community press. Not at all what I had planned for us today, but a great day anyway. Tomorrow it's off to the POWER PLANT!!!!

Day 10, Ocotober 12

Sharon and Danny had another busy day. WE started off with a visit to the Forestburg Ambulance and the Forestburg Fire Hall. Then we took in some geocaching (finding a hidden object using GPS). Then Sharon and Danny got KIDNAPPED, I kid you not, by the Forestburg Ambulance Crew. They were taken at IV point in the ambulance to the Galahad Health Care Centre and around the Village of Galahad. I was so happy when Sharon and Danny were finally back safe and sound. We stopped in at Sunrich Greenhouse, and ran into the “Halkirk Playschool Teacher’s Mother In Law” who was out watering her flowers. We did some shopping at Apple Drugs, and saw Mr. Atco Electric, Jeff. We stopped in at New Look and got a trim from Betty Rae. Most of the day was spent making important decisions at the Forestburg School Staff meeting and PD Day. In the evening we went to the Novice Hockey Meeting at the Old Arena. All in All, another busy day out and about! You will notice that I have more pictures on here than on the CFCW website, I am limited to uploading 10 per day, but here I can put up all the pictures I take.
