Day 9, October 11, 2010

Danny and Sharon had another fun filled day! We started off with a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner at Grandma Sharon's and Papa Terry's. Yum! Then it was off for a tour of the construction site at the new Forestburg Arena, McNabb Construction, Forestburg Transit Mix, and the Forestburg Airport. Did you know that Danny and Sharon were flattened by the packer? Not just anyone can experience this! They got to operate the backhoe, the scraper and the cement mixer. Then we got to visit the duck hunters from Ongaro's Outdoor Outfitters who were hunting ducks. We visited the blind and got our limit of 8 ducks each. Nitice the pile of ducks in the picture and Sharon is even holding one of her ducks! All in all another excellent day. What will tomorrow bring???

Day 8, October 10, 2010

Sharon and Danny had the privilege of going dirt biking today at McMahon Farms. Boy did they have a good time. They also had a big time last night at the Battle River Cash Scramble golf tournament and at the Many Horses Saloon in Forestburg. They were almost "finished off" today in the recycling bin in Forestburg, but we quickly rescued them.

Day 7, October 9, 2010

Sharon and Danny and I had a great Thanksgiving Saturday. We started the day off with a nice little jog down my local country road. Then we had coffee with neighbors and 790 CFCW fans Art and Dot. They said they had always wondered what Sharon looked like, they had imagined her as more brunette. Then Sharon and Danny got to try their hand at welding. Frank stopped in with his welding truck to show them how to weld. Then we went down to the mine to check out the drag line. Sharon and Danny got to run the dragline and climb the boom. They couldn't believe how huge everything was down there. You can hardly see them up on the boom. Then they took a ride in the coal hauler. We also stopped in at the Diplomat Mine Museum. An interesting fact about the drag line we saw today... the dragline bucket in town that holds 80 kids is 1/7 the size of the one in operation today at the mine. To finish the day, they went horseback riding. Both Sharon and Danny are old riders from way back.

Day 6, October 8, 2010

Today was a quiet day for Sharon, Danny, and I. We did stop in at Fas Gas this morning and the girls there were delighted to see her. And after school we stopped at the clinic for a check up - we were all fine! Keep your eyes peeled out and about in Forestburg, we have a bunch of stops planned over the weekend and throughout next week.

Day 5, October 7. 2010

So you may think that today was a down day because there are only 2 new pictures. Well think again! Today was our video shoot around Ter-Ron Farms. The kids had a lot of fun helping Sharon and Danny have fun! We also found out how many kids fit in the coal shovel here in forestburg (over 80!) and we visited the meat department in Shop Easy Foods. Check out the You Tube video, I need to get 500 hits! Help me out!

Click the You Tube icon in the corner to watch it on you tube to make sure it counts your view.

Day 4, October 6, 2010

I wonder if Sharon and Danny are getting tired from this hectic life I live, I know I am exhausted today! We had another great day, with one little hiccup of getting arrested due to some $5.00 scam that Sharon and Danny run on their morning show. We took the class for our annual "Our Community" tour and Sharon and Danny saw lots of people around the Village of Forestburg. This really is part of our Grade One Curriculum, seriously folks! We visited the ATB, Canada Post, Forestburg Agencies, CJ's Deli, Village Office, BMO, The Convenience Store, Coutts Home Hardware, Forestburg Flower Shop, Forestburg Library, and took supper to the field for the crew here at Ter-ron Farms. Whew! I need rest and I think Sharon and Danny do too.

Day 3, October 5, 2010

Today was another busy day for Sharon and Danny. They came with me to leadership academy in Camrose at the Edgeworth Centre. There they got to meet the Superintendent of BRSD Dr. Larry Payne and Assistant Superintendent Rick jarret. They also got to meet Danny's jr high and high school Social Studies teacher, Shirley Stiles, and Ron Zimmer, whose brother went to college with Danny. Peter Miller, a school board member was also excited to see Danny as he is an old fan back from the Danny Hooper Stockyard days. We were also lucky to meet the Camrose Kodiaks at their practice and the Augustana Vikings as well. An embarrassing story, we went down to get the Kodiaks picture, got them all assembled and ready, and my camera batteries were dead!! So Boris Rybalka, the coach, ran to get me some new ones! Thanks Boris! We ran into some 790 Fans on the walking track so we got a picture with them. We also visited the fitness centre and the pool. Who knew you couldn't take pictures in a casino? Well apparently you can't. But the manager was so nice to get out a sign for us to take a picture in front of. Danny and Sharon finished off the day with a ride home on the school bus, and piano lessons. I have another action packed day planned for tomorrow, and I hope these pics start appearing on the CFCW website soon, I have been faithfully uploading them, but they are inundated with over 1000 photos which all have to be approved. So hopefully it is ok that I am using this bog for everyone to see the picture i the meantime. Is it OK Jackie Rae???? :)
